The 2026 Air Jordan 5 Retro “Black Carolina,” also known as “Black University Blue,” revives the sought-after UNC-inspired colorway originally released in 2006 as part of Jordan Brand’s Lifestyle series.

The upper is crafted from black nubuck and finished with contrasting stitching and translucent mesh panels along the sides. University Blue textile lining adds a bold pop of color around the collar, while a matching embroidered Jumpman appears on the heel. A second Jumpman logo is featured on the reflective silver tongue.

Underfoot, a black polyurethane midsole is accented with white shark-tooth detailing and a visible Air-Sole unit in the heel for cushioning. A translucent rubber outsole with a herringbone traction pattern completes the design.
